Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026

1. Introduction

Decision Journal helps people record decisions, the options they weigh, the choice they make, and the AI chat attached to each entry. This policy explains what information is used to provide those features and how to contact us about your data.

2. Information We Collect

Decision Journal may store account profile data, authentication identifiers, the decisions and options you write, the pros and cons you record, your chosen option and reason, chat messages attached to each decision, app preferences, and OpenClaw API key records that you create.

When you use Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In, we may receive your account identifier, name, email address, and profile image when that provider makes those fields available. The app does not collect location data and does not use background location tracking.

3. How We Use Data

We use your data to save your decisions and options, remember preferences, generate AI drafts and chat replies for the decision you are working on, and respond to OpenClaw queries that you authorize with an API key.

4. Storage And Security

Decision data is stored through Prisma-backed APIs in Supabase PostgreSQL and served through the Decision Journal backend on Google Cloud Run. Authentication uses Firebase Authentication. OpenClaw API keys are revocable and are used only when you create and use them. Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS.

5. Third-Party Services

The app uses Firebase Authentication, Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, Supabase PostgreSQL, Google Cloud Run, an AI model provider used to draft decisions and reply in chat, and OpenClaw when you enable agent access. We do not use advertising SDKs in this app.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers needed to run authentication, database storage, backend hosting, notifications, and authorized OpenClaw access, or when required by law.

7. Children's Privacy

Decision Journal is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will help remove it.

8. Your Rights

You can request access, correction, export, or deletion of your data by contacting support. You can also revoke OpenClaw API keys from inside the app.

9. Changes To This Policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. If an update materially affects how your data is handled, we will provide notice through the app, website, or support channel when practical.
